Timberlake Police Department Welcomes New Chief Nick Dolbin

Nick Dolbin Takes the Helm as Timberlake’s New Police Chief

The Village of Timberlake has undergone significant changes in its police department. On November 20, Chief Susan Scofield resigned, and the next day, Mayor John Marra appointed Sgt. Nick Dolbin as the new Chief of Police. Scofield has since filed a civil suit against the village, alleging discrimination based on sex, religion, and age.

To strengthen the department, the village has sworn in nine new part-time officers, with additional hires in December, and plans to recruit and train officers from the local police academy. Mayor Marra emphasized the importance of rebuilding the department with quality officers to ensure the safety and protection of Lake County residents.
